We’re very proud of our team of carefully selected stylists. Each has extensive training in hair styling and colouring techniques to ensure you get the best results. We’re committed to ongoing education and pride ourselves on clear communication, creative suggestions, and excellent customer service.
DE
De has worked in the hair industry for over 25 years. She trained in Australia and has completed her Canadian Red Seal certification. Full of enthusiasm, De takes on a full clientele and manages the day to day operations of the salon.
What De lacks for in stature she more than makes up for with personality. The woman has boundless energy! When she does take a break, you’ll see her enjoying a good latte or having a quick yoga stretch in the backroom.
De is also a certified Iyengar yoga instructor and teaches several classes a week at Bend Over Backwards yoga located on Wesley Street. She’s also an avid trail runner and loves to bike. She doesn’t have much spare time, but when she does you can find her drinking wine and cuddling her kitty, and binge watching her new favourite Netflix series.
ARDEN
Arden has been a valued Salon D team member for over 9 years. She is a creative colour enthusiast and loves to tackle tricky colour corrections. Fixing a box dye disaster or giving a client a drastic cut makeover is one of her favourite challenges. Nothing better then a before and after photo opportunity!
Arden’s passion for hair and education has led her to become a certified Red Seal instructor in the hairdressing program at VIU. She loves sharing her vast knowledge and training with her students and is envied by many of them for her amazing “floss” dance skills.
In her spare time Arden loves to hang out with her husband and two young sons. They recently adopted an eccentric rescue dog named Louie who has quickly become Arden’s biggest fan.
GABRIELLE
Gabrielle has been working at Salon D since she was in high school training alongside De before beginning her official training at Vancouver Island University in 2017. She graduated from the VIU hairdressing program in 2017 and has been with us full time ever since.
Gabby is a naturally talented stylist who excels at balayage and highlights. Her meticulous foiling skills will impress even the most critical eye and her naturally sweet and thoughtful nature make clients instantly feel welcome. Gabrielle is not one to sit still.
She is an accomplished highland dancer and has won many awards at competitions around North America. She loves the outdoors and staying fit and healthy are high on her priority list. She also has a popular Instagram account, over 80,000 followers, dedicated to braids and upstyling that she herself has done. You should go check her out @hairstylesbygabby.
